About Recovery After Volbella
Following your Volbella injections, there is no need to take any time off for recovery. Common side effects are tenderness, swelling, bruising, firmness, and bumps at the injection site. Although many doctors report less bruising with Volbella than other injectable dermal fillers, bruising is still possible. You are able to return to normal activities, but strenuous exercise and extensive sun or heat exposure should be limited for the first twenty-four hours. These activities can increase side effects such as swelling, redness, and itching. To help reduce swelling an ice pack may be applied. If you wish to apply makeup to cover any unwanted bruising or redness, consult with your doctor to ensure that you will not disturb the treated areas. If redness or swelling lasts longer than a few days, it is important to contact your doctor.
After your initial injections, you may find your desired results have not been achieved. This is why a touch up is usually recommended a month after the first injections.
